Danelle Els Attorneys are a boutique family law firm and was established on the 2nd of September 2019 and is based in Pretoria East, Gauteng.

Danelle’s interest in law was first ignited during her Grade 11 year, when she participated in a school career project requiring learners to spend time in different professional environments. While initially placed at Vaalweekblad, her local newspaper, it was a visit to the Magistrate’s Court in Vereeniging that proved pivotal. That experience cemented her decision to pursue a career in law.
As a qualified attorney, Danelle is committed to applying her legal expertise to assist individuals navigating complex and often difficult circumstances. She is passionate about advancing justice, upholding ethical standards, and contributing to a fair and principled future for the country.

Chiné Janse Van Vuuren

Chiné’s interest in law was first sparked during high school while completing a career research assignment. Amongst various career paths one could pursue, law immediately stood out to her. Although the legal field is often perceived as demanding, particularly for women, she was drawn to the independence, professional growth, and opportunities for achievement that a career in law provides for women. From that early stage, she recognized that law would allow her to establish herself in a respected profession while pursuing meaningful goals.
Her true passion for law developed during her practical training as a candidate attorney. While she primarily practiced in insolvency law as a candidate attorney, she became involved in a number of divorce matters and her attention was immediately drawn more towards family law rather than to other fields of law. It was through these experiences that she discovered her strong affinity for family law. Unlike other legal fields and disciplines, family law is deeply personal, requiring compassion, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work with individuals and families during some of the most vulnerable times in their lives.
For Chiné, family law stands apart from other fields of law because it allows her to make a tangible difference in people’s lives — whether it is assisting a child, supporting, or guiding a couple through separation. Witnessing the relief and gratitude of clients after navigating such personal challenges has been a defining experience. Though family law can be emotionally demanding, it is also uniquely rewarding, and it has solidified her commitment to pursuing a legal career where advocacy and empathy go hand in hand.

Candidate Attorney
Nikite’s passion for law was sparked during a high school debating tournament in Grade 9. Her interest grew further in Grade 11 when she had the opportunity to spend two days shadowing professionals in her chosen career path. She visited a local law firm and attended proceedings at the Magistrates’ Court, which confirmed her desire to pursue a future in law.
She chose to study law because she views it as an opportunity to help people and ensure that fairness prevails. She has a particular passion for family law, with a strong commitment to safeguarding the best interests of children during legal disputes.
